When not to choose Aiden
If you only need a record of who entered the building, the software that came with your reader is free and sufficient. The gap only matters when someone has to turn those punches into payslips.
Is the software that comes with a biometric machine enough?
It is enough to capture and export punches. It generally cannot apply shifts, rest days, overtime rules or leave, which means someone reconciles the export by hand before payroll — the exact work an HRMS removes.
