Cloud, or on-site for larger organisations
Aiden HR runs as a multi-tenant cloud platform by default. For larger organisations that must keep employee data inside their own infrastructure, the same platform is available as an on-site deployment.
Cloud
The default. You get the platform without owning any of the infrastructure work behind it.
- We operate it: backups verified on write, patching continuous, uptime ours to hold
- Each company isolated in its own database schema
- New capability arrives continuously, with no upgrade project
- Accessible from any browser plus the Android app
- No servers, no capital purchase, no disaster-recovery plan to write
On-site
The same platform, running inside your own network, where data residency is a requirement you have to satisfy.
- Runs on servers inside your own infrastructure
- Employee data never leaves your network perimeter
- Suited to regulatory, board or client data-residency requirements
- Your IT team owns servers, backups and disaster recovery, with our support
- Upgrades are scheduled with you rather than continuous
How to choose
The deciding question is not which is more secure — a well-run cloud platform and a well-run on-site server can both be secure, and both can be run badly. The question is whether you have a stated requirement to keep data in-house, and whether you have the IT capacity to accept the responsibilities that come with it.
If a regulator, your board or a major client requires employee data on your own servers, choose on-site — that is what it exists for. If not, cloud will almost always cost you less time: no servers to size, no backup schedule to test, no upgrade project to plan, and no hardware failure to handle during month-end payroll.
The product is the same either way
All 27 modules, the AI Operator, agentic approvals and Pakistani statutory compliance behave identically in both deployments. The difference is operational — who runs the infrastructure and how upgrades reach you — not functional.
Does Aiden HR offer on-premise deployment?
Yes. Aiden HR runs as a multi-tenant cloud platform by default, and is also available as an on-site deployment inside your own infrastructure for larger organisations — typically where a regulator, a board policy or a client contract requires employee data to remain on your own servers.
What is the difference between cloud and on-site Aiden HR?
The product is the same. The difference is who operates it: on cloud, Aiden runs, backs up, patches and upgrades the platform; on-site, the software runs on servers you own and your IT team owns the infrastructure responsibilities, with our support.
Which deployment should a large enterprise choose?
Choose on-site when data residency is a stated requirement you must satisfy. Choose cloud when it is not — it removes server, backup and upgrade work from your team, and new capability arrives continuously rather than in upgrade projects.
Can we start on cloud and move on-site later?
Yes. The platform and data model are the same in both deployments, so a migration is a data and infrastructure exercise rather than a re-implementation. Talk to us early so the plan accounts for your integrations and biometric devices.
