Pakistan-first HR software vs a global HR suite
Should a Pakistani business buy a global HR suite or a Pakistan-first platform? How each handles FBR tax, EOBI, SESSI/PESSI, local devices and cost.
Where A global HR suite stands
Global suites are built to serve dozens of countries from one product. Their strength is breadth: multi-country payroll, deep integration ecosystems, mature reporting, and the confidence that comes with a very large installed base.
A global HR suite fits best when
Groups employing people in several countries who need one system spanning multiple tax and labour regimes, and who have the budget and internal IT capacity to implement it.
Aiden HR fits best when
Businesses whose statutory burden is Pakistani, who want FBR withholding, EOBI and provincial social security handled natively rather than configured, and who want to be live in weeks.
Side by side
| Aiden HR | A global HR suite | |
|---|---|---|
| Pakistani statutory rules | Built in as versioned data: FBR slabs, EOBI, SESSI/PESSI, WWF, PF, gratuity | Usually a localisation or configuration project |
| Time to go live | Weeks — import, configure as data, preview payroll, switch | Typically months, often with an implementation partner |
| Cost basis | Per employee per month in PKR | Often USD-denominated, plus implementation fees |
| Biometric devices used in Pakistan | Native ZKTeco and Oculus protocols, plus offline log import | Usually via middleware or a partner integration |
| Rate changes after a Finance Act | You add a new versioned slab set yourself | Depends on the vendor's localisation cycle |
| Multi-country payroll | Not offered — Pakistan only | Core strength |
| Deployment choice | Cloud by default; on-site available for larger organisations | Usually cloud, sometimes on-premise at enterprise tier |
When not to choose Aiden
If you employ people outside Pakistan and need payroll in those countries, a global suite is the correct choice and we are not competing for that work. Depth in one market is a trade-off, not a universal advantage.
Is Pakistan-first HR software better than a global HR suite?
Neither is better in the abstract. If your workforce is in Pakistan, a Pakistan-first platform handles FBR withholding, EOBI and provincial social security natively and typically goes live in weeks rather than months. If you employ people across several countries, a global suite’s multi-country payroll is worth its longer implementation.
We compare approaches rather than named products. Any summary we wrote of another vendor would be out of date within months and unfair in the meantime — evaluate specific systems against the criteria here and ask each vendor directly.
