A record for every scheduled day, not just for punches
A punch log is not attendance. It tells you someone touched a reader; it does not tell you whether they were supposed to work that day, whether they were late against their shift, or whether the day counts as paid.
Aiden materialises a record per scheduled day for every employee: present, late, incomplete, half day, absent, rest day or holiday, resolved against that person’s roster. This is why the attendance grid loads instantly for thousands of employees, and why payroll can read attendance directly instead of recomputing it.
Shifts, rotations and rest days that match how Pakistan actually works
Factory rotations, split shifts, Friday prayer breaks, six-day weeks, alternating rest days and night shifts that cross midnight are all normal here and all break naive attendance systems.
In Aiden these are configuration: shift definitions, rotation templates assigned across teams and weeks, weekly-off patterns and a holiday calendar per company or branch. Change a roster and attendance follows it — including retrospectively, if a correction is approved.
Overtime valued once, by your rules
Overtime is where attendance and payroll usually disagree. Aiden values it in one place: you define what counts as overtime, at what multiplier, on weekdays versus rest days, and whether holiday working is paid as an extra day. Payroll then consumes those valued hours rather than re-deriving them.
Devices, or files when the line goes down
Aiden connects live to ZKTeco readers over ADMS push and Oculus readers over WebSocket — the two families most common in Pakistani offices and plants. If a site loses connectivity, device logs can be imported and the same materialisation runs over them, so a network outage never becomes a payroll problem.
Mobile check-in with location capture covers field staff and anyone without a reader nearby.
Reconciling a week at a multi-branch business
