Payroll

Aiden runs Pakistani payroll end to end: it reads attendance and leave, values overtime and holiday working, applies FBR tax, EOBI and provincial social security, deducts loans and advances, and produces payslips, a bank transfer file and statutory registers — with a preview you approve before anything is committed.

What it does

  • Salary structures and configurable pay elements
  • Attendance-driven earnings, overtime and holiday working
  • FBR tax, EOBI, social security and loan deductions in one pass
  • Preview before commit, append-only history, bank transfer files

Payroll that reads your attendance, not a spreadsheet

Most payroll pain in Pakistan is not the arithmetic — it is the copying. Attendance lives in a biometric machine, leave lives in a register, overtime lives in a supervisor’s notebook, and someone spends the last week of every month reconciling all three into a spreadsheet before payroll can even start.

Aiden removes that week. Attendance is materialised per scheduled day as punches arrive, leave-without-pay is already applied, and overtime is already valued using your own multipliers. When you open the payroll run, the inputs are simply there — the same numbers the attendance screen shows, because both read the same data.

Every kind of worker on one engine

Pakistani businesses rarely have one kind of employee. A manufacturer might run monthly salaried staff in the office, daily wages on the floor, piece rates in packing, and contract workers on a site — and traditional systems force a separate process for each.

Aiden values all of them in the same run: monthly salary, daily wages, piece rates, hourly work, overtime at weekday and rest-day multipliers, and holiday working paid as an additive earning. Pay elements are configuration, so adding an allowance or a new deduction is a data change, not a development request.

Preview before you commit, and history that never changes

Payroll is the one process where a mistake is visible to every employee at once. Aiden calculates a run into a preview first: you see gross, deductions, tax and net for every person, drill into any figure, fix what is wrong, and recalculate as often as you like.

Only when you approve does the run commit — and from that moment it is append-only. Corrections are made as new entries rather than by overwriting, so an audit six months later shows exactly what was paid and why. Monetary values are pinned to the paisa at a single point in the calculation, which is why a run reconciles against a finance sheet rather than drifting by rounding.

Outputs your finance team and the regulator both need

Each run produces payslips for distribution, a bank transfer file in your bank’s format, a payroll register for finance, and the statutory registers and challans that EOBI and provincial social security require. Reports carry resolved names rather than internal IDs, so they can be sent to a manager without translation.

A month-end run at a 1,500-person factory

  1. 1Punches arrive from the ZKTeco readers all month; Aiden materialises attendance nightly against each employee’s shift and rest days.
  2. 2Approved leave and unpaid absence are already reflected — nobody re-keys a leave register.
  3. 3HR opens the July run and clicks Calculate. Overtime is valued at the configured weekday and rest-day multipliers; holiday working is paid as an extra day.
  4. 4FBR tax is withheld using the slab version in force for the tax year; EOBI and SESSI are computed; loan instalments are deducted.
  5. 5Finance compares the preview totals to their own figure, queries two employees, HR fixes an allowance and recalculates.
  6. 6Payroll is approved. Payslips, the bank file and the statutory registers are generated in one pass.

Questions about payroll

Does Aiden HR handle Pakistani payroll end to end?

Yes. Aiden values attendance and overtime, applies FBR income tax, EOBI and provincial social security, deducts loans and advances, then issues payslips and a bank transfer file — with a preview you approve before anything is committed.

Can Aiden run payroll for daily-wage and piece-rate workers?

Yes. Monthly salaried staff, daily wages, piece rates and overtime all run on the same payroll engine, which is why Aiden suits manufacturing and field-force businesses.
