EOBI & Social Security

Aiden calculates EOBI and provincial social security — SESSI in Sindh, PESSI in Punjab — during payroll, supporting both percentage schemes with ceilings and flat contribution amounts, and generates the challans and registers you file.

What it does

  • EOBI employee and employer contributions
  • SESSI and PESSI provincial schemes
  • Percentage or flat-amount contribution schemes with ceilings
  • Challan and statutory register generation

Contribution schemes that match the rules as written

Social security contributions in Pakistan are not a single formula. Some are a percentage of wages with a ceiling, some are flat amounts, and the employee and employer sides can differ.

Aiden models a contribution scheme with both sides expressed independently: a rate with a base and ceiling, or a flat amount that overrides the percentage. A blank side defers to the percentage; a zero means zero deliberately, and saving a one-sided zero asks for confirmation, because that is usually a mistake rather than an intention.

Provincial, because the province matters

A business with branches in Karachi and Lahore is dealing with SESSI and PESSI at the same time, with different registration and rules. Aiden applies the correct provincial scheme by branch rather than forcing one national assumption.

Challans and registers on demand

Contributions are computed inside the payroll run, so the numbers you file are the numbers you paid. Challans and statutory registers are generated from that same data, in PDF or spreadsheet format, for the period you select.

Getting registration and wage bases right

Contribution errors usually come from the base rather than the rate: which earnings count, whether a ceiling applies, and who is eligible. Aiden lets you define the base explicitly per scheme and per branch, so an allowance that should not attract a contribution does not silently do so.

Eligibility follows the employee record — join date, branch province, employment type — which means a new joiner mid-month is picked up correctly without anyone maintaining a separate list.

A two-province business filing for July

  1. 1Karachi staff are assigned the SESSI scheme; Lahore staff PESSI, by branch.
  2. 2Payroll computes EOBI plus the correct provincial contribution for every employee in one run.
  3. 3Employer and employee sides are calculated independently, respecting each scheme's ceiling or flat amount.
  4. 4Challans and the statutory registers are generated for each province from the committed run.
